Sioux City (IA) (pop. 81,617) is looking for a new Utilities Superintendent to assist the Director in leading 39 FTEs to efficiently manage part of the City’s $171,000,000 operating budget, the $136,000,000 5-year Capital Improvements Program (CIP), maintaining and repairing the City’s underground utilities.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Responsible for Underground Utilities including:
- Employees: responsible for managing a department of 39 FTEs
- Water Distribution: planning & maintenance of 481 miles of water lines, 6,236 valves and 4,140 hydrants (28 MGD),
- Sewer Distribution: planning & maintenance of 6,889 sanitary manholes, 368 miles of sanitary sewer lines (14 MGD),
- Storm Water Distribution: planning & maintenance of 281 miles of storm sewer, and 6,000 storm water inlets.
