EDUCATION COMMITTEE

About the Committee

The Education Committee shall be composed of at least six (6) members chosen as follows, if possible:

• One member from each of the Iowa AWWA six (6) regions if possible
• One member from the Iowa Section AWWA Operator Certification Committee.
• At least one member from Iowa DNR.
• At least one member from an Iowa educational institution if possible

Duties of the Education Committee include:

• Plan, organize and coordinate education programs.
• These programs consist of the following: Spring and Fall Short course for water and wastewater operators.
• At lease one Education Committee member shall serve on the Iowa Section Annual Conference Technical Program Committee.
• Develop short and long term education goals for education, based upon the needs of Iowa section members.
