The City of Sioux City is looking for a Student Intern for the Wastewater Treatment Plant to assist staff with the inputting of data from operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals and parts inventory using our software system. Primary duties may include inputting preventative maintenance documents; assisting staff with records of work performed, materials used, and parts expended; assisting with parts inventory to include organizing equipment, tagging, and labeling shelves.
Applicants for this position must be currently enrolled students in a degree program in good standing at an accredited technical school, college, or university.
Experience with Microsoft office and/or database work is preferred but not required. Mechanic knowledge helpful but not required.
The duration of this internship will be from approximately May 1, 2022, through August 1, 2022. The Student Intern is expected to work 40 hours per week. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
