The Iowa Association of Water Agencies (IAWA) is seeking a professional to serve as the Iowa Children’s Water Festival Coordinator. The successful candidate will possess an excellent ability to work with others, outstanding organizational skills, passion for youth education, and experience in event planning and coordination. The Coordinator will work closely with the IAWA board and staff, Festival Steering Committee, IAWA member utilities, water industry groups in Iowa, and public and private sponsors and partners to accomplish the mission of the Iowa Children’s Water Festival to educate students across the state about the importance of water. Specifically, the Coordinator will be responsible for leading efforts to plan, assemble required financial and in-kind support, and carry out an in-person festival, multiple festival-related events, and/or remote festival activities. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to direct efforts that will continue the highly successful and widely recognized Iowa Children’s Water Festival.
The Iowa Children’s Water Festival Coordinator will be a contracted position. Annual compensation for the contracted Coordinator position will be $25,000.
