The City of Oakland has a full-time opening for Public Works Labor I. Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Need general knowledge of street maintenance, water treatment and distribution system maintenance, and sewer maintenance; working knowledge of equipment operations, maintenance and repair, ability to follow written and oral instructions; must be able to obtain Grade I water and Grade I wastewater certifications within one year of employment. Emergency Medical Technician certification or ability to obtain is preferred. Will be required to be in an on call rotation. Salary negotiable based on qualifications.
